How come the parking lot is always closed or full? I tried twice at about 11am and is that where you enter by foot to get to the river? I wouldn’t have my family walk on the highway to get to it. Too dangerous.

THere r only 20 spots and close the lot until a car leaves. We got lucky, but it is usually a long wait. Go early¡

How far is the picnic area from the parking lot?
A:
Maybe a quarter mile or less. It’s not a far walk down from the parking lot. I say 15-20 minutes.
