Easy access to the parking lot. There is a cafe right at the entrance. A very gorgeous site. It's also near another waterfall.Full review by michaeldeligan

As someone who visits waterfalls a lot I was most shocked to find dogs are not allowed on this outdoor walk. Certainly finding Ireland not to be dog friendly. DisappointedFull review by Adele L
Hi there! I was thinking about going to the Glencar lake and waterfalls on a Sunday and I would like to know how to get there from Sligo town. I don't drive or have a car. Is it possible to get a taxi from Sligo town to the Glencar lake on a Sunday or is it possible to walk there from Sligo? Thanks in advance!

We droveto the place, but yes, you can get a taxi or get a lift off someone. There must be tours going there. It is a bit of a half marathon if you are thinking of walking there.

No, not when we were there, and from the look of it, not at other times either. There is a small building by the car park, that has toilets and seems to have a small office. But I don't see …
No, not when we were there, and from the look of it, not at other times either. There is a small building by the car park, that has toilets and seems to have a small office. But I don't see how they would enforce paying first, as access to the waterfall footpath is on the other side of the road, and no gates or such.
