Air India flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 carrying 242 people, crashed after taking off from Ahmedabad on its way to London.

Akash was not a passenger on the ill-fated Air India Flight AI-171; in fact, he had never been on a plane. His family, recently evicted from their home, had been living on the pavement near their tea stall in the Meghaninagar area, opposite the UG hostels of BJ Medical College—the site where the aircraft crashed.

Apart from central and state government agencies, a team of the National Security Guard (NSG) has been deployed at the site of the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, where 265 people lost their lives.
