Chris Paddack threw six strong innings in his first start since joining the Detroit Tigers, leading his new team to a 7-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday afternoon at Comerica Park. The Tigers (64-46) swept the Diamondbacks (51-58) in the three-game series and have now won four in a row after losing 12 of 13.

The right-hander celebrated being dealt to a Tigers team in the thick of the race for the best record in the AL by delivering his sixth quality start of the season on 84 pitches (58 strikes) in his debut for his new squad.
