Eric Henderson, who led South Dakota State to two NCAA Tournament appearances in six seasons, has been hired as Drake’s head coach, the school announced Friday.

McCollum is replacing longtime Hawkeyes head coach Fran McCaffery. McCaffery, who spent 15 seasons in that role at Iowa, is the all-time winningest coach in program history. But after Iowa's exit from the Big Ten Tournament this season, the Hawkeyes elected to move on from McCaffery and embark on a new era.
