B radford James Gille, 42, is in custody and faces 11 counts assault with intent to murder in the random stabbing incident in a Michigan Walmart, Grand Traverse Sheriff Mike Shea said during a press conference Sunday. Gille will also be charged with one count of terrorism, Shea said.

Chaos unfolded at a Walmart in Michigan after a man burst into the store during a calm shopping afternoon and stabbed 11 people at random, authorities say.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said she has been in contact with law enforcement about the “horrible news” and commended first responders for their swift action.
