EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - As of 6 a.m., CenterPoint Energy officials say power is restored to more than 65% of customers impacted by the winter storm. They say fewer than 20,000 customers remain without power. Officials say crews continue restoration efforts, with more than 1,000 workers.

Officials say while 61,000 customers have been impacted by Winter Storm Blair since January 5, more than half of customers have already been restored across CenterPoint Energy’s Indiana electric service territory.

CenterPoint Energy is expected to provide another winter storm update around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Since Sunday, officials say more than half of the 61,000 customers who lost power have had it restored.

As winter weather approaches, SWEPCO and Centerpoint Energy are preparing for potential power outages. Crews are ready to respond.
