This story has been updated with new information A significant force of firefighters moved into place on Thursday as a large fire broke out inside a corn oil tank in Providence off Terminal Road. Mutual aid from Cranston,

Providence Fire Chief Derek Silva said the tank, situated off of Terminal Road, had roughly 3,000 gallons of corn oil inside of it when it caught fire. Silva said the fire did not spread beyond the storage tank, and firefighters were able to smother it with a blanket of foam.
