Pop-up showers and thunderstorms remain possible across much of North and Central Texas for the 4th of July. Another Dallas option is Fair Park Fourth, a free event at Fair Park, home of the State Fair of Texas. The event lasts from 5:30 to 10 p.m. on Friday, July 4, and features food trucks, live music and a spectacular fireworks show you can view from the Cotton Bowl or anywhere in the park. Admission is free, but there is a parking fee.
