Benni McCarthy is set to arrive in Nairobi on Wednesday to officially take charge as the new head coach of Kenya’s national football team, Harambee Stars.

McCarthy, a former Manchester United first-team coach, was officially unveiled as the new Harambee Stars tactician in an upbeat ceremony at the Serena Hotel on Monday, March 3, as he signed a two-year deal to coach the national team until after the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

Benni McCarthy has been appointed as the new head coach of the Kenya national team. McCarthy’s last role in football was as part of Erik ten Hag’s coaching team at Manchester United but he left the club last summer as he wanted to return to management.
