Indian forces have killed three Pakistanis involved in the April attack on Hindu tourists in the Jammu and Kashmir federal territory in which 26 men were shot dead, Home Minister Amit Shah said on Tuesday.

India’s Home Minister Amit Shah told lawmakers on Tuesday that the security forces had killed the main perpetrators of the Kashmir attack in April, in an operation that comes amid opposition scrutiny over alleged intelligence failure in the incident.

India has said its security forces killed three militants who shot dead 26 civilians near a tourist town in Indian-administered Kashmir in April, triggering a brief military conflict with Pakistan. Home Minister Amit Shah told parliament the men had been killed by Indian forces near the disputed region's main city Srinagar on Monday.
