For a few months in F1 2024, it looked as though Max Verstappen could lose his grasp on the World Drivers’ Championship to McLaren rival Lando Norris — only for Norris to lose out through a series of mistakes.

McLaren driver Lando Norris has previously refused to accept that Max Verstappen is the dominant force in F1 because he’s simply a better driver. The Red Bull man eventually finished 63 points clear of Norris in the drivers’ standings, winning a fourth consecutive world title with two races to spare.
