Weather and cautions posed the biggest threat to Van Gisbergen, including a Lap 74 crash from Cody Ware, which took NASCAR more than 30 seconds to bring out the caution flag officially. "The strategy was a bit all over the place, as we knew it would be today, racing the weather, racing cars and different (pit) stops," Van Gisbergen added.

Ty Gibbs finished in a season-best second place, followed by Tyler Reddick, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch making up the rest of the top five. A.J. Allmendinger, Ryan Preece, Alex Bowman, Austin Hill and Ross Chastain rounded out the top 10.

A very strange caution in the NASCAR Chicago Street Race just as Shane van Gisbergen passed Chase Briscoe for the lead. Due to an ambulance needing to cross the track, officials had to get the caution out and slow down the race.
