Brad Marchand is ready for his Florida debut. The Panthers said Marchand — who, because of an upper-body injury, hasn't appeared in a game with Florida since being acquired in a trade with Boston three weeks ago — will be in the lineup Friday night when the team plays host to the Utah Hockey Club.

Brad Marchand is set to take the ice for the Florida Panthers on Friday night. It has been three weeks since the Bruins sent their captain to the rival Panthers in a shocking deadline day trade, but the veteran winger has only practiced with his new team because of an upper-body injury.

Brad Marchand’s debut with the Florida Panthers has arrived. Marchand is expected to draw into the lineup Friday night when the Panthers host the Utah Hockey Club (7 p.m., Scripps), coach Paul Maurice confirmed after the team’s morning skate.
