A medieval tower in central Rome collapsed again during a rescue operation by firefighters after the initial collapse, sending up cloud of debris.
The 66-year-old man was the last of several workers saved in the rescue operation that was briefly interrupted by a second collapse of the 95-foot-tall Torre de' Conti tower, Luca Cari, a spokesperson for the Rome Fire Service, told ABC News.
A worker was taken to hospital with serious injuries and another was trapped under rubble following the partial collapse on Monday of a medieval tower under renovation in central Rome, near the Colosseum.
