Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison has suffered a “bad knee injury” according to new head coach Thomas Frank. Maddison came off the bench in the second half of Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle United at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in South Korea on Sunday.

Thomas Frank has described James Maddison’s injury as “brutal” after the midfielder was taken off on a stretcher on Sunday.Maddison was withdrawn, just minutes after coming on, with his head in his hands after collapsing to the pitch during a 1-1 draw with Newcastle in South Korea.
