Spider-Man: Brand New Day broke the record for the biggest-ever opening at the U.S. box office. The film’s $360M debut bested that of Avengers: Endgame. It’s quite an accomplishment for a franchise that’s been around for a quarter century through nine films and three separate male leads.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” swung to the top of the box office charts with a whopping $355 million debut — the second-biggest opening weekend in domestic box office history.

The $360 million domestic opening is just shy of the record set by ‘Avengers: Endgame’ in 2019.
