Kansas City Chiefs rookie left tackle Josh Simmons is expected to rejoin the team "in a few weeks," according to a report by ESPN Chiefs reporter Nate Taylor.
It's the Mac Jones show for the 49ers for at least one more week as Brock Purdy is out with a toe injury that's caused him to miss all but two contests this season. Jones is 4-1 as a starter in Purdy's absence. The 49ers will also be without receiver Ricky Pearsall once again as he battles a knee injury.
Chiefs rookie Josh Simmons has received an updated return timeline following his two-game absence for family reasons.
RB Kareem Hunt was listed on the Chiefs' latest injury report. Here is an update on his status ahead of KC's Week 8 matchup against the Commanders.
Simmons, the No. 32 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, returned home to California prior to the Chiefs' Week 6 game and was ruled out on the availability report with a "personal" designation. Coach Andy Reid initially declined to comment on the situation but this week offered a positive update on his first-year offensive lineman.
The Friday injury report had several Bears players ruled out including one who has had problems with similar injuries earlier this season.
