DC Studios' co-head James Gunn has confirmed a supposedly dead Creature Commandos character will return to the DCU.

James Gunn’s DCU is already at full throttle. But another DC realm, “Elseworlds,” also under his supervision as co-CEO of DC Studios, will be getting a more refined differentiation from the mainstream DCU by way of its own animated opening logo.

Superman Unlimited will kick off May 21, and will be set up with a “Zero Issue” in DC’s Free Comic Book Day issue on May 3. According to DC, the “Summer of Superman” will include ongoing and limited books for fellow Supers like Supergirl, Superboy, and Krypto.
