Younger Americans are more likely than older people to say these changes have influenced their decision. Among adults under 30 who are familiar with the CDC’s changes, about half say these changes have had at least a minor influence. That compares with 36% of those 65 and older.
Writing in separate editorials in The New England Journal of Medicine and The Journal of the American Medical Association, former chiefs of federal scientific agencies issued warnings about the changes being proposed to vaccine frameworks by current officials.
An advisory committee overseen by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s vaccine advisory board will meet Thursday to discuss the medical guidance of the hepatitis B vaccine, which is currently given at birth.
