Former Marcy Correctional Facility Officer Robert Kessler was sentenced in Oneida County Court on Thursday. Kessler was one of the corrections officers involved in the death of inmate Robert Brooks.
Troopers believe his injuries came from an altercation with another inmate, but the investigation is continuing.
