If you were looking for any signs that winter was lurking, one of the most common places, and perhaps most aesthetically pleasing for snow lovers, would be the summit of Mount Washington. The observatory picked up a dusting of snow on Thursday, but Monday night delivered the first 1-inch or higher snowfall of the season, much later than normal.
