Weather alert for strong thunderstorms in Southeast Michigan Saturday afternoon – gusts up to 40 mph
The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 12:22 p.m. EDT on Saturday for strong thunderstorms until 1:15 p.m. EDT for St. Joseph, Branch and Hillsdale counties.
At 11:58 a.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service released a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 12:45 p.m. for Blair, Cambria, Centre, Clearfield and Huntingdon counties.
A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Saturday at 2:16 p.m. EDT for strong thunderstorms until 3 p.m. EDT for Washtenaw, Wayne and Monroe counties.
The National Weather Service said the storms could bring frequent lightning, quarter-sized hail and wind gusts up to 65 mph.
