Suburban Chicago charter appeals to state after local board votes to close its campuses in 2027
The LEARN charter school network filed an appeal with the Illinois State Board of Education earlier this week to keep its two North Chicago campuses open. The local board in District 187 voted in late September to close the campuses after 2027 unless the charter operator and district can come to an agreement on a new contract.
