The National Hurricane Center's 11 a.m. Wednesday advisory reported that Tropical Storm Jerry is in the Atlantic Ocean, 750 miles east-southeast of the Northern Leeward Islands. The system, with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph, is moving west-northwest at 23 mph.
According to the National Hurricane Center's 5 a.m. Thursday advisory, Tropical Storm Jerry is in the Atlantic Ocean, 505 miles east-southeast of the Northern Leeward Islands. Packing maximum sustained winds of 65 mph, it is tracking to the west-northwest at 18 mph.

Over 300 classrooms were damaged by Tropical Storm Ramil (international name: Fengshen) that struck several parts of Luzon over the weekend. Based on a situation report, DepEd said a total of 375 classrooms were damaged by Ramil in various parts of Luzon.
