The Utah Transit Authority estimated the damage to the train to be in the "six-figures." The agency advised that if a vehicle is ever caught on the tracks, drivers should proceed through the crossing arms. While this may cause minor damage to the vehicle, it is significantly less than the potential damage from a train collision, the agency said.
