Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is expected to provide an update on the search and rescue efforts in Central Texas after deadly flooding swept across the area on Friday.

( NewsNation) — At least 78 people are dead after flash floods swept through Central Texas over the Fourth of July holiday, Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha said Sunday amid rescuers’ desperate search for many others still missing, including 10 girls from a summer camp.

Texas officials reported that at least 25 people have died and 237 people were rescued Friday following major flooding in Central Texas.
