Sean Dyche said Wednesday he had left Everton at "the right time" after managing the club during "one of its toughest periods in its history".
At the time, Everton was teetering above the relegation zone, positioned 16th in the Premier League. David Moyes then swiftly took the reins for his second spell at the club within 48 hours, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal to succeed Dyche, who originally managed at Goodison Park between 2002 and 2013.
Former Everton star Pat Nevin feels that Sean Dyche has been hugely undervalued for the work he carried out in the dugout. The Toffees sacked Dyche last week, as they were just one point above the relegation zone in the Premier League table after a run of poor results and worries about relegation surfaced.
