Already without Joel Embiid, the Philadelphia 76ers were also without Paul George for Wednesday’s game against the Wizards. Things got a bit tricky as Washington mounted a rally during the fourth quarter, but the 76ers held on partially due to the play of SG/SF Kelly Oubre Jr. (35%) and PF/C Guerschon Yabusele (14%).
Kelly Oubre Jr. needs to up his scoring and more Kelly Oubre Jr. must seize the moment. Justin Edwards deserves more minutes. And even though they were depleted, the Sixers have to do a better job of defending opposing guards.
Tyrese Maxey also added 31 points and 10 assists, but the Sixers struggled without Joel Embiid's presence in the post.
