The 2025 NFL Pro Bowl Skills Showdown is scheduled to begin tonight at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN. Fans can watch all of the events for free online by using the free trials offered by DirecTV Stream and Fubo TV. Alternatively, Sling offers a first-month discount to new users.

The second half of Pro Bowl Games does include a football game, but it is no longer a game of tackle football. Now it’s a 7-on-7 flag football game, punctuated by four more skills competitions: EA Sports Madden NFL 25 Challenge, Punt Perfect, The Great Football Race and Tug-of-War.

In their 45-31 loss vs. Commanders in the divisional round, Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs joined elite company alongside Gale Sayers in NFL history.

NFL Pro Bowl begins on Thursday night with the Skills Showdown. Top AFC and NFC players will go head-to-head in satisfying catches, passing the test, relay race, helmet harmony, and dodgeball competitions.

While Super Bowl 59 looms, the NFL's best players take center stage for the 2025 Pro Bowl Games. For the third consecutive year, the league's best will compete in a series of skills competitions and a flag football game,

The Lions have 7 players slated to participate in this week's Pro Bowl games, including Taylor Decker, Jared Goff and Jahmyr Gibbs

Lions left tackle Taylor Decker is headed to his first Pro Bowl. The team announced Monday that Decker will replace teammate Penei Sewell. It is unclear what the injury is for the Lions’ right tackle as he played every down of the divisional round loss to the Commanders and wasn’t listed on the injury report leading up to the game.

Buffalo’s Josh Allen, Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson, and Washington’s Jayden Daniels won’t be participating in the Pro Bowl Games this week. Bills running back James Cook and center Connor McGovern also were selected as replacements.

There will be no blue hair at the Pro Bowl after all. Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has pulled out of the showcase event this weekend due to injury and been replaced by Giants wideout Malik Nabers, according to an announcement from the Giants.

Two other players with Alabama football roots were chosen for the Pro Bowl Games but are not participating – Philadelphia Eagles guard Landon Dickerson (Alabama) and Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry (Alabama).
