Liverpool FC, the Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro and Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) all confirmed Thursday that forward Diogo Jota and his brother, André Silva, were killed in a car crash near Zamora, Spain.

Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has died in a tragic car accident. According to The Guardian, the 28-year-old Portuguese forward and his brother, Andre, were killed in Spain when one of their Lamborghini’s back tires was punctured and the car veered off the road.
