Both Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz have called for a sequel to be made of The Mask. The 1994 film, loosely based on the comic book series of the same name, created by Mike Richardson and further developed for Dark Horse Comics by Doug Mahnke and John Arcudi, was directed by Chuck Russell.
