A Louisiana mother has been charged after falsely reporting the kidnapping of her child, whom she allegedly ran over and abandoned on a highway.

Conflict between the mother and son led to the child running away and the mother calling in a false kidnapping report, deputies say.

A mom fed up with her child’s ongoing tantrum in the car abandoned the boy along a four-lane highway, then reported him kidnapped at 1 a.m., according to investigators in Louisiana. It happened Tuesday,
