Crystal Palace inserted a release clause when they last extended Eberechi Eze’s contract in November 2023. The agreement makes the England international available for a total fee of £68 million, which would make him the club’s most expensive sale ever.

It was reported that Arsenal believe Eze could be the cherry on top of their transfer cake this summer and had been eyeing up his £68million release clause. However, it is claimed by talkSPORT that Eze’s release clause is set to expire this week, with Arsenal currently holding no plans to trigger it.
