PARIS — Dua Lipa is the new face of Chanel. The “Houdini” singer, who attended the brand’s haute couture show on Tuesday in a floor-sweeping black cape, stars in the new campaign for its 25 handbag, and it promises to be as catchy as one of her earworm tunes.

Just like every other major fashion house on the planet, Chanel sure does like to have a selection of brand ambassadors on speed dial. Currently on the Chanel roster is everyone from Margot Robbie and Lily-Rose Depp to Whitney Peak and Riley Keough.

Sandwiched between Nosferatu star Lily-Rose Depp and Inception actor Marion Cotillard, the pop star was in good company. On her lap, the English and Albanian beauty clutched a quilted black drawstring hobo bag with gold hardware and maxi side pockets—a design pulled from the French fashion house's Spring/Summer 2025 Ready-to-Wear collection.

A direct descendant of the revolutionary 2.55—which, at 70, remains one of the most sought-after handbags in the world—the Chanel 25 mirrors its time. The bag is crafted in supple, lightweight quilted leather, and the medium and large sizes come with a handy clutch that also can be worn solo, depending on the occasion.

Among the flutter of familiar faces who graced the scene was none other than Dua Lipa. The 29-year-old joined French Hollywood veteran Marion Cotillard on the house's FROW, sporting an operatic black cape that kissed the floor as she walked.
