The prime ministers of Britain and India have sealed a major trade agreement that will reduce tariffs on products like Scotch whisky and Indian spices.

This is PM Modi's fourth visit to the UK since he became Prime Minister. His earlier visits were in 2015, 2018, and 2021 (for the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow).

The free trade agreement will be India's first major bilateral trade deal with a developed country in over 10 years. It is also the most important trade deal the UK has signed since leaving the European Union.
