Manchester United and Arsenal launch their Premier League campaigns at Old Trafford in the 4.30pm kick off and Chelsea take on London rivals Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge (2pm) in their opening match. Brentford’s new head coach Keith Andrews takes charge of his first match at Nottingham Forest (2pm).

Tottenham are close to agreeing a deal for Eberechi Eze which will add to Thomas Frank's joy after a 3-0 win over Burnley.

Summer signings Mohammed Kudus and Joao Palhinha both starred for Tottenham as they fell agonisingly short of lifting their second trophy in the space of four months, but Frank added post-match that he needs reinforcements in the closing weeks of the window.

Pape Matar Sarr is once again set to play in the more advanced midfield role, with the deal for the 27-year-old unlikely to be done in time for the first game of the new season. That means just one change for the former Brentford manager, with Wilson Odobert coming in to replace Kevin Danso to allow Spurs to be a bit more attacking.
