President Donald Trump melted down Friday on social media over "thugs" that he said were "violently throwing rocks and bricks" at federal immigration agents. Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform that he "watched in disbelief" as "thugs" hurled rocks and bricks at Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers inside an official government

Trump was also quick to criticize the Federal Emergency Management Agency's response to both disasters, and as president, he has said he wants to "wean off" FEMA and phase out the agency in an effort to shift more responsibility for recovery to states.

The president and first lady visited Kerrville to meet local officials and families of the victims of the recent flooding. Trump promised federal support, but his team emphasized the state's role.
