Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis came to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office headquarters Thursday afternoon to hold a roundtable with Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters and other public officials.

“If there aren’t five votes then shutting down illegal alien birthright citizenship would require an amendment to the Constitution itself, which would be unlikely to get enacted as blue states would almost certainly refuse to ratify it,” DeSantis noted.

The governor will be joined by Sheriff T.K. Waters and Florida Dept. of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Executive Director Dave Kerner.
