Kerrville police are evacuating residents as widespread flooding sweeps through the city, in what the sheriff's office has called a life-threatening event.

(Reuters) -Several people were missing and an unconfirmed number of people had died after torrential rains caused flash floods in central Texas on Friday, according to local authorities. The U.S. National Weather Service issued a flash flood emergency advisory for the Llano River in Mason County,

The authorities confirmed that people had died as a result of the flooding along the Guadalupe River, and urged those living near the river to seek higher ground immediately.
