Murray State baseball is looking to become only the second No. 4 seed to ever win a College World Series championship. Racers begin CWS play June 14.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and Arizona Wildcasts hope to start off their runs in Omaha on the right foot, as they both open their NCAA Men’s College World Series schedules on Friday afternoon.

The College World Series is officially underway. The first games in Omaha kicked off Friday as the four teams in Bracket One faced off to compete for a spot in the winner's bracket. This round takes on a double-elimination format where the winner of each bracket advances to a best-of-three series to determine the NCAA Champion.

Since the NCAA DI baseball tournament was expanded to 64 teams in 1999, only four regional No. 4 seeds have made it to the Men's College World Series. Murray State is the most recent to make it all the way to the final eight.
