Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow issued a short message on social media to fans in the wake of his team being eliminated from the playoffs over the weekend. Over on Instagram, Burrow wrote the following in the caption of a picture: “Season to remember, sorry you won’t get to watch anymore. Year 5 in the books.”

The Cincinnati Bengals were eliminated from playoff contention after Week 18 of the NFL regular season despite quarterback Joe Burrow putting together a career-best campaign.

Burrow passes for 277 yards and a touchdown in Cincinnati’s 19-17 road win, positioning the Bengals to grab the AFC’s No. 7 seed if Denver and Miami both fall short on Sunday.
