Marcus Rashford is expected to miss the rest of Aston Villa’s season with a hamstring injury.The on-loan forward was not included in the squad that lost to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-finals

Rashford sustained a minor muscle injury during the first half of the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday. The 27-year-old, who scored a first-half penalty at the Etihad Stadium, was able to continue after the break before he was replaced with Ollie Watkins after 76 minutes.

Further tests will be done to establish the severity of Rashford’s injury but it is expected that he will not need surgery.
