Of the many remarkable chapters in Scottie Scheffler's historic 2024 season, none were more surprising than a Friday morning in Louisville that began in a jail cell and ended with him in contention at the PGA Championship.

Scheffler was handcuffed and placed in the back of a police car outside the gates of Valhalla Golf Club in the morning darkness.
