Only a few hours ahead of an FA Cup match against Peterborough United, Everton have sacked manager Sean Dyche. Dyche has overseen the Toffees since January of 2023 with the team failing to finish in the top half of the table during any of that tenure.

Everton have boldly opted to sack manager Sean Dyche hours before their FA Cup Third Round clash with EFL League One side Peterborough United. The Toffees are currently 16th in the Premier League rankings, at the half-way point of the season, with 17 points gained from 19 games so far.

Everton confirmed they had parted ways with Sean Dyche ahead of their FA Cup match against Peterborough United on Thursday.

Sean Dyche has left Everton after less than two years in charge. During that time, he oversaw 75 Premier League games. Of those, 21 were wins, 23 were draws and 31 ended in defeat. Everton finished 17th in 2022-23 and 15th last season,

Dyche was appointed back in January of 2023 and managed to keep them above the relegation zone with a final-day win over Bournemouth.
