All Independent Readers who earned a gold medal in the 2025 Summer Learning Program are invited to an awards ceremony on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. Children will receive acknowledgement from the Mayor and City Council members and have an opportunity to shake hands with them. The ceremony will take place at the City Council Chamber at 1016 S. Livermore Ave., at the far north end of the Civic Center Library parking lot.
