Ever heard of a Pookila? The Pookila or New Holland mouse is a small native mouse that was once widespread through box gum grassy woodlands, but is now very rare. We are working to bring it back to the Sanctuary, and this video shows one of them scurrying about in our soft-release pen in the Sanctuary.
