A rare glimpse at a Polar Bear pulling a large Bearded Seal up onto an ice floe on the Arctic Ocean. This shows the incredible strength of the bear. Bearded Seals can weigh up to 430kg (948lbs) and be over 2.5 metres long. As you can see their hide is also incredibly thick. We encountered this bear on the ocean several years ago, and observed it from a great distance and only for a few minutes before leaving it alone to consume its rather large and important meal.
