On New Year’s Day, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office evacuated the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center (RCCC), as the site was in imminent danger of flooding. Over 1000 inmates were sent to facilities from allied agencies including the El Dorado County Jail, Yuba County Jail, California State Prison Sacramento and California State Prison, Solano.
