As part of the Discover India Program, our undergraduate students studied the ecological and cultural landscape of Velas, a compact coastal village in Maharashtra’s Konkan region known for its black sand beaches, mango farming, and the celebrated Turtle Festival, where Olive Ridley turtles nest.
